Château Le Bourdieu, Médoc 2018

A truly typical Médoc red from the Bailly family's Cru Bourgeois estate, whose fruit comes from vines growing just a mile from the Gironde estuary on the sandy, gravelly alluvial soils known as croupes. 

The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is treated to long maceration and a year in French oak barrels to give a ripe, aromatic and structured wine that ages well. Generous in the mouth and with a fresh, velvety finish, it represents great value from the Left Bank.
